A closer look at three players for the Bears:

Robert Griffin

Quarterback

The true freshman has energized the Bears' offensive attack. He ranks 14th nationally in passing efficiency and has scored at least one rushing touchdown in six consecutive games.

Joe Pawelek

Linebacker

The Bears' defensive ringleader for three years. He has 68 tackles this season (243 career). On pace to finish second behind Mike Singletary on Baylor's career tackle list.

Jordan Lake

Free safety

The junior hard-hitting safety emerged last season to lead the Bears in tackles with 120. This season, Lake has 39 tackles and an interception. By MATT DOYLE World sports writer
