Big-game experience: On Oct. 11, Oklahoma State upended then-undefeated Missouri 28-23 before a crowd of more than 69,000 in Columbia, Mo. The game was nationally televised.

The Cowboys effectively handled pressure at Missouri. This week, the pressure is intensified.

No. 7 OSU plays at No. 1 Texas. Saturday's 2:30 p.m. game will be witnessed not only by ABC's television audience, but by more than 98,000 at Texas' Royal-Memorial Stadium.

Of the Missouri experience, OSU coach Mike Gundy said, "We'd like to think it would benefit us some. We're playing the No. 1 team in the country now."

OSU has won five of its last six games away from Stillwater, but hasn't won in Austin since 1944.

OSU-Texas comparisons: The Oklahoma State-Texas showdown features two of the top five scoring offenses in college football. Texas is second nationally at 48.1 points per game. OSU is fourth at 46.4.

In total offense, OSU is seventh nationally at 501.4 yards per game. Texas is 10th, averaging 484 yards.

The Texas defense records 3.4 sacks per game. The OSU offensive line has allowed only five sacks all season.

Both teams are among the national top 10 in net punting. OSU is fourth (41.3 yards) and Texas is eighth (39.8).

The Longhorns and Cowboys are ball-control specialists. In time-of-possession average, Texas is third nationally at 33:20 per game. OSU is 1 second behind. The Cowboys are fourth at 33:19 per game.

Dez update: Cowboy sophomore wide receiver Dez Bryant had 212 receiving yards in the 34-6 win over Baylor. He had 236 receiving yards against Houston last month. In Cowboy football history, Bryant and Rashaun Woods are the only players with multiple 200-yard receiving games. Woods had three such performances.

Odds and ends: With Saturday's 34-6 win over Baylor, OSU has five home victories this season. OSU had not recorded five home victories in any season since 2002, when the Cowboys won six home contests.

For the first time in school history, OSU has attracted three consecutive home crowds of at least 50,000. The Baylor game attracted 50,080.
