Big game approaching: What is the magnitude of this Saturday's game at No. 1 Texas? Let Oklahoma State quarterback Zac Robinson explain.

Before Robinson and the offense went through their required Monday morning weightlifting session, receiver Dez Bryant told Robinson he couldn't wait for practice later in the afternoon.

"I said, 'Are you sure?' " Robinson said. "Dez never really is fired up for practice."

For the first time in school history, OSU will bring a top-10 ranking into a game against the No. 1 team in the country. The Cowboys are No. 7 in the Associated Press poll, No. 6 in the Bowl Championship Series standings and No. 8 in the USA Today coaches poll.

OSU is 0-7 all-time when playing a No. 1-ranked team. OSU coach Mike Gundy tried to downplay "big game" emphasis.

"They're all big games. People say, 'Why is it a big game?' Because when you play teams in your league and you don't play well against them at times, it does not come across well to the public," he said. "To the players, though, they are all big games."

TV tidbits: The Nov. 1 home game against Iowa State will be televised by KTUL-8 at 2:30 p.m.

The Iowa State game will mark the second consecutive week the Cowboys will appear on ABC. This week's game at Texas also is a 2:30 p.m. start on ABC. The play-by-play announcer will be Brad Nessler, who will team up with analysts Bob Griese, Paul Maguire and sideline reporter Stacey Dales.
