Exercising their rights: Oklahoma State center David Washington entered Monday's media luncheon wearing a promotional T-shirt for an Oklahoma Senate candidate. Washington said it was the first shirt he found Monday and not an endorsement.

On Tuesday, though, Washington will vote in the general election.

"That's something I really want to do," Washington said.

OSU's student-athlete advisory committee held a voter registration event in late September and had approximately 40 athletes register to vote.

Quarterback Zac Robinson is very interested in the presidential race, and was proud to vote in the 2004 general election as a high school senior in Colorado.

But Robinson did not know about the voter registration event in September.

He also missed the early October deadline to register to vote in Oklahoma and did not even think about trying to vote absentee as a Colorado resident.

"I blame (punter and roommate Matt) Fodge for that," Robinson joked. "He said he was going to remember that we needed to do that. But he never did."

Colorado game televised: OSU's Nov. 15 football game at Colorado will be televised by ABC (KTUL-8) and start at 7 p.m.

It will be the second consecutive week the Cowboys appear on ABC's prime time college football telecast. This Saturday's game at No. 2 Texas Tech also is a 7 p.m. contest.

Recruiting update: David Paulsen, a 6-foot-3, 240-pound fullback from Marietta, Ga., announced his commitment to the Cowboy program over the weekend.

Ranked by Scout.com as a three-star national recruit, Paulsen confirmed his commitment to the Cowboys after having attended Saturday's 59-17 victory over Iowa State at Stillwater.

Scout.com reports that Paulsen also was recruited by Georgia, Miami (Ohio), Duke and Tulane. Paulsen is OSU's eighth commitment.

Last week, four-star safety Daytawion Lowe of Midwest City Carl Albert announced his commitment to OSU.

Verbal commitments are non-binding. National signing day is set for Feb. 4.

It's been a while: OSU is seeking its first victory at Texas Tech since 1944. The Cowboys are 0-8-2 in Lubbock since a 14-7 road win 68 years ago.

"I wasn't even aware of that — 1944, huh?" OSU coach Mike Gundy said. "There's a lot on the line. We're playing in big games now in the national spotlight that there will be enough motivation for them.

"I don't know those things intrigue them that much."
