New face: Oklahoma State's biggest victory Wednesday may have come off the court. The Cowboys got a commitment from a top 50 high school recruit, according to Scout.com.

The recruiting service cited multiple sources in reporting that Karron Johnson, a 6-foot-7 forward from Mount Zion Academy in Durham, N.C., picked OSU over Alabama-Birmingham.

Johnson is rated as the nation's 49th best player (and the 18th best power forward) in the class of 2009 by Scout.com. He is ranked 45th overall and 14th at his position by Rivals.com.

Scary moment: Ibrahima Thomas, OSU's only eligible post player taller than 6-foot-8, was helped off the floor with an injury at 15:47 of the second half. He recovered in time to return to the court with 4:06 left. He scored inside with 2:59 remaining for the Cowboys' 100th point of the game.

OSU guard Obi Muonelo was quick to point out that Thomas isn't the team's only post player. He said the Cowboys have other big men who can play. Thomas, Anthony Brown, Marshall Moses and Malcoln Kirkland combined for 24 points and 12 rebounds.

Early knockout: Rogers State was limited to one field goal in its first 19 possessions. The Hillcats trailed 22-7 before converting their second field goal of the game (at 11:04 of the first half).

"It wasn't very pretty," Hillcats coach Lloyd Williams said.
