SAN ANTONIO — Top-seed and regular-season league champion Oklahoma State was upset by fourth-seeded Colorado in double overtime Friday at the semifinals of the women's Big 12 women's soccer tournament at Blossom Soccer Stadium in San Antonio.

A crowd of 1,118 saw the match go to penalty kicks after a 1-1 tie; the Buffaloes edged the Cowgirls 3-2 in the shootout.

"It was a great game of soccer, one of the best and most entertaining games I've been a part of in a long, long time," OSU head coach Colin Carmichael said. "Both teams played great soccer."

Colorado senior goalkeeper Kirstin Radlinski made two straight saves in the penalty kicks frame.

OSU now awaits the release of the NCAA Tournament field, which will be announced at 7 p.m. Monday.

Colorado (14-3-4) will face Missouri in the title game at noon Sunday. Mizzou advanced with a 4-3 penalty kick win over Kansas.

The eighth-ranked Cowgirls (17-1-3) led Colorado 28-17 in shots, with 13-9 on goal. Making the penalty kicks for CU were forward Nikki Marshall, defender Michelle Wenino and midfielder Kate Russell.

OSU, which is now 2-0-3 in overtime games this season, missed perhaps its best chance at a game-winner just 25 seconds into OT. Siera Strawser drilled a shot from close range, but Radlinski made a sliding save just before it crossed the line.
