Heads up: On Saturday night at Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., Oklahoma State senior punter Matt Fodge will be attempting to complete a perfect season.

On all four road games this fall, the Cowboys have won the opening coin toss. Fodge is responsible for calling heads or tails on the toss. He has called heads all four times and been successful.

"Hopefully I'm not jinxing us," Fodge said. "We'll see this Saturday."

Fodge said he had no explanation why he chooses heads.

"I don't know why, but I'm not going to change it now," he said.

Different approach: Fodge has implemented the rugby-style punt over the last four games. The punter receives the ball from deep snapper Marc Yerry, runs a couple of steps to his right and kicks. It is different than the traditional taking of the snap, moving a few steps forward and kicking.

"It's a new style of punting that returners have not gotten adjusted to yet and a lot of people haven't adopted yet," Fodge said. "When opponents see this, it's hard on them to tell what the ball is going to do and where it's going to drop or how much it's going to roll. So far, it's working out."

In the last four games, Fodge has averaged just under 50 yards per punt on his nine attempts. Last week at Texas Tech, he recorded a season-long 71 yard punt using the rugby approach.

Security pillow: Andre Sexton will make sure he has all the essential items packed that he will need for Saturday's game at Colorado. The one essential item on Sexton's list for the trip to Boulder is a pillow.

The junior linebacker always brings his own personal pillow.

"I don't have a fear of hotels, but I don't like sleeping in a bed that's not mine," Sexton said. "Having my own pillow makes me feel a little more comfortable and able to get a good night's rest."
