Representing the team: For the 11th consecutive game, Oklahoma State senior punter Matt Fodge was one of the four captains.

Fodge is the only Cowboy to serve as a captain for every game. Coaches have determined a weekly captain representative from the offense, defense and special teams, except for Fodge.

"It's been a great thing and a huge honor to be able to go out for the coin toss for all 10 games this year," Fodge said last week. "I take a lot of pride in that."

In Mike Gundy's first three seasons, OSU had elected permanent captains before the start of the season. But Gundy felt before this season that a number of players could be considered for the job.

OSU will select permanent captains before the Bedlam game on Nov. 29.

"That's a great thing about this team," Fodge said. "We have a lot of leaders, and not just three or four guys who are considered leaders. It's shown with the success we've had throughout the season."

Joining Fodge as captains for Saturday's game at Colorado were quarterback Zac Robinson, defensive tackle Tonga Tea, and fullback/special teams player Bryant Ward.

In demand: Robinson bartered with his teammates the past few weeks to get tickets for the Colorado game. The junior from Littleton, Colo., ended up with 35 tickets for family and friends, according to his father, Rusty.

Cool night: The temperature at game time was 43 degrees, the coldest conditions OSU has played in this season.

"It's certainly football weather," Gundy said before the game. "It feels great out here."

Hitting the century mark: With seven receptions Saturday, senior tight end Brandon Pettigrew has 105 for his career. Pettigrew is the only tight end in school history to surpass 100 career receptions.

Changing the look: The Cowboys broke out a new look for Saturday night's game. OSU wore the white uniform game pants for the first time on the road this season.

The Cowboys wore orange pants for the previous eight away games dating back to last season.

Short time: OSU had only nine offensive snaps and kept the ball for less than three minutes in the second quarter. Colorado outgained OSU 133-76 in the second quarter after the Cowboys won the yardage battle 120-55 in the opening quarter.

That's good: The Folsom Field crowd let out a big cheer late in the first half when Colorado's Aric Goodman connected on a 31-yard field goal. It was the Buffaloes' first successful field goal attempt in their last 16 tries.

Earlier in the second quarter, Goodman had a 50-yard attempt hit off the left upright and fall into the end zone no good.
