FEEDBACK FROM THE FANS

Oklahoma State fans comment on the university’s 2008 football ticket policy — that admittance for Saturday’s Bedlam game is limited to those who purchased OSU season tickets or obtained one of the 5,000 tickets allotted to the University of Oklahoma. The least expensive available OSU season ticket is $294.

Jim Munger
Ponca City

Munger says he annually purchases season tickets for OSU football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball.

“When (athletic director) Mike Holder first announced the policy, I really didn’t have an opinion. I knew I’d have season tickets, and I knew I’d see the game. Now, I’d like to see OSU release more tickets (on a single-game basis). I’d like to see a packed stadium for the game. Look at the revenue potential. What’s the point of expanding the stadium if you’re not going to fill it up?”

Nathan Scott
Bartlesville

A 2004 OSU graduate, Scott is a football season-ticket holder.

“At this point, I would not want to see OSU release single game tickets. I know Mike Holder had certain goals and he got them—to sell more tickets and get more money for the athletic department. At the same time, I hate that we won’t have a sellout crowd for Bedlam.”

Lisa Carike
Ponca City

“I would love to take my son to the game, but it’s just impossible. It’s just too expensive. How can a school teacher pay that amount of money for football tickets?”

Kevin White
Edmond

White, a football season-ticket holder, says he appreciates that OSU is standing firm with its policy.

“In the next few days, we’ll hear a lot of talk about this —especially from (OU fans) who want tickets.”
