Milestone win: Oklahoma State picked up its 800th all-time victory at Gallagher-Iba Arena by beating Grambling State. Although 9,753 tickets were sold for the game, actual attendance was 5,104. Two of the 800 wins came at Grambling State's expense. Byron Houston scored 35 points in a 98-54 rout of the Tigers in 1990.

History in the making: OSU made 15 3-pointers against an NCAA Division I opponent for the first time in school history. The only other time the Cowboys made 15 came against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Dec. 21, 2004. The Pokes launched a school-record 39 shots from 3-point range. The previous record was 34 in a loss to North Texas last season.

Climbing: Byron Eaton became only the ninth player in Big 12 history to record 200 career steals. He has 202 and moved into eighth place on the league's all-time steals list.

Eaton also moved past JamesOn Curry into seventh place on OSU's career assist list.

New face: OSU could get a height boost if 6-11 freshman Teeng Akol is granted eligibility. Akol cleared a preliminary hurdle related to his ACT score and still must be green-lighted by the NCAA.

Asked if Akol could accompany the Cowboys to Orlando next week for the Old Spice Classic, coach Travis Ford said, "I think it depends on a few things, but the last I heard is he might be able to go. We are pushing to figure out how to get him to go."

Finally, a miss: James Anderson made 19 consecutive free throws to start the season, but he missed on attempt No. 20 with 10:39 remaining. He also missed his next free throw after that.
