Wagoner (6-3, 4-2 District 4A-4) can control its own playoff destiny with a win next week over Hilldale.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 35-16 victory over No. 2 Sallisaw.

"Our playoffs start now," coach Dale Condict said. "It's a do-or-die situation. A win over Hilldale (next week) and we are in. If we lose, we're out. We can't lose focus with that on the line."

Quarterback Prince McJunkins threw for 139 yards and two touchdowns and added a 48-yard touchdown run.

Safety Jimmy Carter had 11 tackles and three interceptions while Jeremy Applegate registered 20 tackles and caused a fumble.

Jordan Robinson returned a punt 56 yards for one touchdown and caught a 39-yard touchdown pass.

Foyil pulls upset: The Panthers entered Friday's game facing the state's top running back in Salina's Darren Pettit, who had rushed for 1,758 yards and 25 touchdowns.

But Foyil capitalized on early turnovers to build a 20-6 halftime lead en route to a 28-20 victory to improve to 6-3 overall and 6-2 in District A-8.

"He's hard to bring down," Foyil coach Jesse Leigh said of Pettit. "We got our stops when we needed them. The kids played extraordinarily hard.

"They were a lot bigger than we are, but our kids never once backed down or shied away."

Wait and see: At 5-4 overall and 4-2 in District 2A-5, the Morris Eagles will wait and see what the playoff future holds.

"It's a tough district," coach Larry Crenshaw said. "Right now we are in a three-way tie for second. We could finish anywhere from second to fifth."

The Eagles put themselves in a position to advance with a 28-0 shutout over Eufaula on Friday night.

In that game, the Eagles held the Ironheads to 38 total offensive yards. Leading the defensive charge was defensive tackle Baron Fox with 14 tackles, four sacks and five tackles for loss. Linebacker Brandyn Wahnee had 11 tackles, four for loss, two sacks and caused a fumble.

Defensive end Andy Rea had 10 tackles, nine for losses and five sacks, while free safety Guy Kiehl registered 10 tackles and an interception.

Rare feats: Stilwell's Christian Keller, who has two late winning field goals this year, had another big game, but this time at other positions in a 35-0 win over Edison on Friday.

Keller caught a 6-yard TD pass and also returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown. He is the first player in Stilwell history to score TDs on a reception and interception in the same game. Keller helped Stilwell post its first shutout since 2003.

Davis sets record: Second-ranked Davis has clinched a 2A playoff berth, marking its 26th consecutive season in the playoffs, a new state record. The old record of 25 was held by Midwest City (1977-2001).

Classy move: Union defeated Oklahoma City Grant 79-0 on Friday, but the scoreboard didn't tell the entire story.

After the Redskins' ninth touchdown made it 63-0 late in the second quarter, Union quit adding points to its total on the scoreboard that still read 63-0 at the end.

Actually scoring more TDs but not posting them on the scoreboard is considered 'classy'?
