During the regular season, the World will update each week its rankings of the top 10 metro players. The rankings are based primarily on performance this season, with potential and previous years' performance also considered. There is a change at the top of the rankings for the first time since after Week 1 as Booker T. Washington's Eric Bennett slips to No. 3 due to the shoulder injury that has caused him to miss the last three games. Below are the updated rankings with the players' ranking last week in parentheses:

1. Demarco Cobbs

Central, QB-DB (2)

Despite being plagued by the flu, he rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown in an 18-7 victory over Coweta. The Texas commit also completed 3-of-9 passes for 38 yards, led an offense that did not commit a turnover, returned one punt for 10 yards, had six tackles and his first defensive sack of the season. Ranks No. 3 in Class 5A with 1,075 rushing yards.

2. Marco Nelson

Glenpool, RB (3)

Another rout for the Warriors meant another light workload for Nelson, who had 91 yards on six carries and a TD in a 49-6 victory over Tecumseh. The Tulsa commit has rushed for 1,068 yards and scored 21 TDs.

3. Eric Bennett

Booker T. Washington, QB-DB (1)

Despite missing the last three games with a shoulder injury, the Arkansas commit still has been one of the area's most productive quarterbacks with a combined 20 touchdowns and 1,293 total yards passing and rushing.

4. Jake Alexander

Jenks, OT (5)

The Tulsa commit led another strong effort by the Trojans' offensive line as Jenks racked up 580 total yards in a 58-15 victory over Muskogee.

5. Roman Wilson

Lincoln Christian, WR-DB-K (4)

Scored on his only reception as he saw limited action in a 56-0 romp over Wyandotte. Also kicked five extra points. Ranks first in 2A with 44 catches and second in scoring with 125 points behind teammate Matt Lawwill, who has 132 points.

6. Jake Schooley

Metro Christian, WR-DB (6)

Had three receptions for 42 yards and a TD in limited action as the Patriots routed Kellyville 56-8. Leads 3A receivers with 51 catches and 865 yards.

7. Zack Langer

Jenks, RB (7)

The junior rushed for 112 yards on 13 carries and two TDs against Muskogee. Leads 6A with 26 TDs and ranks second with 1,378 rushing yards.

8. Stephen Sherwood

Bishop Kelley, RB (8)

Helped the Comets clinch their first district title since 1985 with 181 yards on 13 carries, including a 75-yard TD in a 38-6 victory over Hale. Has rushed for 1,007 yards and 10 TDs this season.

9. Terrance Dixon

Sand Springs, RB-LB (10)

Caught the winning TD pass with 1:35 left in a 49-45 victory over Sapulpa to keep the Sandites' playoff hopes alive. Had 205 total yards and four TDs. Leads 6A rushers with 1,440 yards and ranks second in 6A with 23 TDs.
