Jenks and Union will meet again for the Class 6A high school football state championship.

And Cascia Hall will try for its third straight state title.

Jenks plays Union at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the University of Tulsa's Chapman Stadium. Last year, Union beat Jenks to win the 6A title. Jenks won the teams' regular-season meeting this year.

This is the third consecutive year and the seventh time in the last 12 seasons the schools have met for the state title. Jenks is 4-2 against Union in state championship games since 1998.

Top-ranked Jenks (13-0) beat fourth-ranked Southmoore (11-2) 44-26 tonight in Oklahoma City to advance to the title game. Second-ranked Union trailed most of its semifinal game against third-ranked Broken Arrow before rallying in the fourth quarter for two touchdowns and a 24-13 win.

The sites and times for next week's state-title games in other classes are expected to be announced Sunday by the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association.

Top-ranked Cascia Hall, which has a 40-game win streak, advanced to the 3A title game with a 37-7 win over fourth-ranked Claremore Sequoyah tonight. The Commandos (12-0) will face third-ranked Berryhill (11-2). The Chiefs advanced with a 23-7 win over seventh-ranked Dewey tonight.

On Friday night, eighth-ranked Bixby (9-4) advanced to the Class 5A title game with a 27-20 semifinal win over Guthrie. Bixby will play sixth-ranked Carl Albert (11-2).

The state championships for Classes 6A, 5A, 4A, 3A, B and C are next week. Classes 2A and A are in their semifinal round next week.

It sure would be nice to see something other than Jenks vs Union, it's getting to be totally predictable and boring.

YAWN! Same song, 354th verse. It's getting old. I'm a BA fan - that doesn't make me any less tired of the same old predictable two teams.

When Ron Lancaster took over at BA he stated "I used to take shots at Broken Arrow and I apologize for that right now. I used to say I can't believe they can't win with 4,000 kids over there. I've always thought if given the right opportunity, I would like to give it a try”. When Whitson “resigned” he had a three year record of 22-14 with a quarter-final and a semi-final appearance in the playoffs. Now Lancaster’s three year run at BA has produced a record of 24-11 and the exact same results in playoff appearances as Whitson. Maybe now Lancaster can explain from personal experience why “they can’t win” rather that taking shots at previous coaches and players.

I think this sucks Jenks should not have been eligible to participate in the state playoffs just as Booker T Washington was ineligible to participate they both were accused of the same violations, and Jenks had committed them for a longer period of time which means they are repeat offenders. Sounds like repeat offenders get off with a slap on the wrist, while a first time offender gets the death penalty how does that work

Charger2010fan, Would U like some Cheese with that Wine? Once again, Jenks violations come from the Previous Seasons, NOT THIS YEAR. 9 Wins was taken away and the State Runner-Up Trophy with the District Title.

Charger2010, Jenks and BTW were not in the same scenario. JENKS had an one player that was ruled inelligible for last season and as stated above we forfeited 9 wins, the district title and the runnersup ball. BTW had 40 inellible athletes competing this year... Huge difference!

Go Trojans Take State!

All I have to say is that if its getting boring, then maybe the schools you cheer for can do something about it. Do you want Jenks or Union to one season just go "yeah we will let you win this year"? Thats just the way it is. These kids want to win, frankly more than everyone else. Union proved it last night with their comeback win against BA last night... I feel for BA though, they went 10-3 this with all their losses coming against Union and Jenks, maybe one day...

Funny how Oklahoma city and surrounding area never play for the title.

Jenks had more than one ineligible player and they are a repeat offender and this is common knowledge. However the other school districts does not have the funds such as Jenks to groom their teams from elementary to highschool... Is this a real example of how life goes? One could say yes the have and the have nots. At what point will this change. Jenks and Union both are overrated. I agree with justiceawaits why aren't any of the OKC teams ever in the runoff against these so called powerhouses? BOO JENKS vs UNION.

Man for people who have absolutly nothing to do with any of you all I hear I'd complaining yes jenks is guilty big deal. But yet because union contends we're automatically guilty? False claims are getting old and if you don't like us playing every year go down and talk to your fav. Teams coach an ask them it has nothing to do with cheting we dismantle programs each year and once again if you don't like this showdown find a new sport to watch instea of us kids having to listen to you complain about why we beat our bodies up over 7 days a week to hear people say we don't deserve just because you think you know something

Hey other 6A teams -- either get better at football & learn to take out Jinx & Union or else shut up & deal with it. Boring matchup to the outsider, yes. Great game for football fans -- almost always. Repeating Redskins all the way!!! Jekns (from their own students spelling) can replace their returned silver ball from last year's final.

Wow.... Lots of haters out there. Im proud that the best teams are playing again!!! they represent the state and Tulsa well!!! Who else is Nationally ranked??? Should be a great game between 2 great teams!!! I am a Jenks fan but believe that Union has the talent edge at QB and reciever to win this one... good Luck all

Quality-the run off you call for is in effect right now....Its called the quarter finals. the problem is that very few West-side teams can win a quarter-final game and if the do win the quarter they almost always lose the semifinal game. (the exception being Mustang and Edmond Santa-Fe...occasionally)

Boring, boring, boring....why don't they just play each other at the first of the season and end it there. The rest of their games are blowouts anyway....
