Cascia and Berryhill in Stillwater is ridiculous.

I completely agree with DrewTU. Isn't there a field they could play
on locally? I wonder who made that decision. It defies logic.

Anywhere local would have been better. Owasso, Jenks, TU, Union. OSU is just a complete waste of money.

I believe OSSAA signed a three game agreement with OSU and had no choice. Sand Springs or Sapulpa would have been a much better location for both Cascia and Berryhill and a lot safer drive for our kids! A Saturday game would have been nice too so we could go to the Jenks-Union game on Friday night.

Having 2 boys who played football, I did my time at football games - in the cold, rain, snow, ice, and heat. Glad I don't have to anymore. But hope the weather is at least tolerable for those of you who go next weekend.

I agree with others on here. Why are Berryhill and Cascia Hall driving all the way to Stillwater? They could play their game at Chapman Stadium on Saturday night. It's not like TU is using the facility for anything. ;-)

yep, Tulsa County (11/29/2009 11:07:53 PM)
Maybe the OSSAA wanted everyone to be able to go to Joe's after the game. Woo hoo!

Ah... Jinx/Union... at TU... the way it should be... Repeating Redskins sounds really nice, don't it? Cascia/Berryhill at OSU instead of TU is a joke -- idiot OSSAA (Oklahoma Stupid Senile A-Hole Association). Did it ever occur to them that the more ppl go to the game, the more $$ is made? Local venue = more ppl + more $$. It's not the east-side's fault that we're predominantly better than the west-side of the state in football. Make the best of the situation OSSAA & put on your big-boy pants for once. It's very simple -- 2 east-side teams play their championship at TU, 2 west-side teams play theirs at OU, 1 of each play at OSU (assuming that there are no other stadium scheduling conflicts). Wishful thinking I know, but at least it makes sense. The OSSAA wouldn't know about sense, only cents.

Read Matt Baker and Barry Lewis' Tulsa World high school blog for the reasons the game is in Stillwater.

soonerman, I think the bigger question is how a school with the largest ADM in the state still can't get into the state finals?

Soonerman37-Its called recruiting but you have to do it legally (like Union did back when I went there) It was a pain in the but for students to fill out papertwork and all in order to play but it pays off....It is legal as long as you switch between seasons and either live in district or your parents work there. I think it helps porgrams out and I dont see a problem with it as long as its done right. Go SKINS
