Beveryly Bevo Mae Black Van Schoonhoven

VAN SCHOONHOVEN - Beverly (Bevo), went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 26th, 2009, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Beverly Mae Black was born in Tulsa, OK, July 21, 1922, to William and Mabel Black. She grew up in Tulsa and attended the University of Tulsa where she was a member of the Tri Delta Sorority. Growing up, she loved ice skating and dancing but found her passion in golf which she enjoyed for many years. Beverly developed many long lasting friendships in Tulsa, Dallas, Scottsdale, Chicago, Austin, and her last years at Edgemere Retirement Community in Dallas, where her friends knew her as being "very kind, sweet, gracious. considerate, compassionate, empathetic, always friendly, as well as one so unique and precious." She was also a very giving and caring person and by always being involved with different charities in the cities where she lived. Beverly was predeceased by her parents and a brother, Fred Fry. Also, predeceased by her husbands, Vernon E. Alexander, Jr. of Dallas, Tom McKibben of Tulsa and Scottsdale and Dr. Peter Van Schoonhoven of Scottsdale and Dallas. Beverly is survived by her loving sister, Barbara Moore of Bella Vista, AR; her son, Eddie Alexander and wife Kaaren of Frisco, TX; daughter, Nancy Kemble and husband Ben of Arvada, CO; grandchildren, Wendy, Heather, David, Jennifer and Michael; nephews, Bob, Bill and Chuck Dow; and 9 great-grandchildren. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, November 7, 2009, at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made
