How do you think the city should finance the estimated $1.6 billion in street improvements necessary to bring them to an average grade?
We should seek as much state/federal funding as possible and bonds.
What do you think the city should do to further development along the Arkansas River and how should it be funded?
It should be developed, however we develop it, it be the city holding and keeping money and a vote of the people
Would you support/not support public financial assistance to further downtown commercial development that could include a baseball stadium for the Drillers team? Please explain your position.
With all I have read and studied the cities that have taken this route, it has been a huge success to the downtown areas. Toledo, Ohio, Springfield, Mo., are great examples. Keep Drillers in Tulsa.
What would be three goals you would like to accomplish if you are elected?
Reduce crime in District 6 and Tulsa. Economic development in District 6. Bring more skilled-semi-skilled work to Tulsa, machinist, welders, plumbers, etc. make it easier for small business to come to Tulsa.
What do you see as personal strengths that you would bring to the position?
I am one that listens to people. Decisions that help Tulsa and District grow. Communication, understanding, you can't always have your way. This is not about me, it is Tulsa and District 6. Know who the people are who can help you. It is important to be able to ask for help. I don't know every thing, but asking right people and talking to the. Being a positive person having a vision for the District. Building strong/stronger N.A. in District 6. Listen to their needs/problems then solve them with them. Talk to our business leaders in District. They may not live here but work here, let them know we care and want them here. Clean up and take back our neighborhoods through cops enforcement. This is very important to our N.A.'s. Working with all councilors, I think it is important to be in step, keep our differences out of public as much as possible. We don't always agree, but working with the council as a whole is important. Two heads better than one.
