How do you think the city should finance the estimated $1.6 billion in street improvements necessary to bring them to an average grade?
I am not convinced that we truly need $1.6 billion dollars to fix the streets; however, whatever amount it takes we need to make sure that we have monitored all departments to cut any waste that may exist before we look for other means. Overtaxation of the citizens of Tulsa would not be something I would favor.

What do you think the city should do to further development along the Arkansas River and how should it be funded?
Continue to work with the people who want to invest in the river development. But, find a way to use less public dollars.

Would you support/not support public financial assistance to further downtown commercial development that could include a baseball stadium for the Drillers team? Please explain your position.
At this time, I cannot support public financial assistance to further downtown commercial development. There are so many issues far more important to the District 1 represent and to the rest of the city.

What would be three goals you would like to accomplish if you are elected?
Increase property value in my district as well as the rest of the city by enforcing higher levels of code enforcement.
Public safety is a key issue. We need more Police officers and fire fighters. Both departments need to be increased by at least 15 percent, and then work at securing funding to accomplish this.
Change the image of North and West Tulsa. To accomplish this goal we need to get the people who reside in these areas to change how they see themselves and where they live, and then work to change how others see us. Work with the Banks, Realtors and Tulsa Metropolitan Chamber to get them to promote living in and doing business in North and West areas of the city as they promote living and doing business in other areas of the city.

What do you see as personal strengths that you would bring to the position?

A willingness to listen to the people I represent about their needs and wants not my wants, and a willingness to stand up for them even if it is not popular. Additionally I bring an unwavering dedication to the position to make District 1 as well as the City of Tulsa a better place to live.
