1. What are the top three issues in your district?
Immigration. Roads. Economic Development.
2. Lawmakers approved a stand-still budget for the coming fiscal year. Critics blamed previous tax cuts for a drop in revenues, while tax cut supporters say such cuts spur the economy. Do you believe Oklahoma can sustain additional tax cuts?
I believe we must see the full impact of the current cuts on our budget and the ability to provide necessary government services before we consider additional tax cuts.
3. Do you think illegal immigration is a serious problem facing Oklahoma? Why or why not?
Yes. Illegal immigration is not only a violation of state and federal law, it creates a burden on government services.
4. Do you believe voters should be required to produce identification at the polls?
If we require a voter I.D., it should be a photo I.D. However, I do not believe we have voter fraud in Oklahoma that presents a need for I.D.
5. Should the governor be taken out of the parole process?
Yes – it should not be a political process.
