1. What are the top three issues in your district?
education, roads & bridges, transportation costs-need for light rail
2. Lawmakers approved a stand-still budget for the coming fiscal year. Critics blamed previous tax cuts for a drop in revenues, while tax cut supporters say such cuts spur the economy. Do you believe Oklahoma can sustain additional tax cuts?
I don't believe it does spur the economy. No, we cannot stand additional cuts. We are now borrowing money to pay for a bond issue, when we could have paid cash, before the tax cuts!
3. Do you think illegal immigration is a serious problem facing Oklahoma? Why or why not?
NO, I believe the issue is being used as a diversion to take away attention from real problems such as: DOC funding, shortage of prison space, 100 year old facilities. Shortage of money and staff in mental health, poor facilities. Roads & bridges in terrible condition, need mass transportation-passenger rail. Immigration is a national issue, but Washington has ducked and dodged it, causing states to try deal with it in a patchwork effort.
4. Do you believe voters should be required to produce identification at the polls?
No, only in case of name not being listed on poll books.
5. Should the governor be taken out of the parole process?
YES
