How did you learn about Dfest?

On-site training.

Why did you apply for Dfest?

Ego.

What is the most fun thing about performing live?

When everything clicks and everyone's having a good time.

Have you performed at Dfest before? If so, what was your favorite part about it? If not, what are you most looking forward to?

Yes, we've been there twice now. The sushi was excellent. The parties were legendary. And the music...well, the music was great, too.

What projects does is your band currently working on?

We just finished up a 3-song single called "Head Over Heels". Then we finish our first LP.

How has the economy changed your band, touring, making music, etc.?

It really hasn't. We're still singing about the same old sappy situations.

As a musician, which three bands are you most looking forward to seeing at Dfest?

The Cool Kids, Gil Mantera's Party Dream, Colourmusic

What's the funniest/weirdest story you have about any song you've written?

The first song I ever wrote was called "Little Green Men" and I wrote it when I was 11. It was about aliens abducting me from my bedroom and stealing my brain.

What can fans expect during your Dfest performance?

All the hits.

How is Dfest different from any other show you do?

I usually try to wear a new shirt. We'll be playing some new stuff I hope and maybe a new cover that will definitely not be "Carry On My Wayward Son".

Where would you like your band to be two years from today?

Not broken up.

What's the coolest fact about your fans?

My parents are great people who love to scuba dive.

What tips do you offer to "beat the heat" at this July festival?

I'm pretty sure that's impossible.

What's the weirdest/quirkiest fact about any member of your band?

Dusty lives with a married couple and a newborn baby.
