How did you learn about Dfest?

Played it last year

Why did you apply for Dfest?

Had fun last year, and we love Oklahomer.

What is the most fun thing about performing live?

Sharing a laugh with the sound guys during soundcheck.

Have you performed at Dfest before? If so, what was your favorite part about it?

Yeah, last year at the Blank Slate. We loved having all the Stillwater kids show up to our set. They so crazy.

If not, what are you most looking forward to?

Well, I can tell you that we’re not looking forward to is the HEAT. And yes, I’m talking about the cops.

Will you be going to the music conference? If so, what are you most looking forward to?

Music conference sounds like an oxymoron.

What projects is your band currently working on?

We’re currently recording for our second full-length which will hopefully be out in early 2010. Sounds like the future doesn’t it?

How has the economy changed your band, touring, making music, etc.?

Well, we’re recording ourselves, so...

As a musician, which three bands are you most looking forward to seeing at Dfest?

Bald Eagle, Mayola, and if we weren’t starting 10 min. after them, Mates of State

Will you offer meet-and-greets after/before your shows? If so, when/where?

Sure. At the merch table, why you can buy our shizzz.

What's the funniest/weirdest story you have about any song you've written?

Eric tends to write all of the songs by himself, so I’m sure they’ve all had a pretty funny/weird incubation.

What can fans expect during your Dfest performance?

Well, we were kinda on the fence about this, but we might end up playing a lot of our own songs. All six of us will be there, too. Plus yelling.

How is Dfest different from any other show you do?

Mates of State and Ra Ra Riot will be playing less than a mile away.

Where would you like your band to be two years from today?

Is $$$ a location?

What's the coolest fact about your fans?

They like our music, and they tend to smell pretty delicious.

What tips do you offer to "beat the heat" at this July festival?

Pretend to pass out a lot. People tend to take care of you pretty well at that point – water, golf cart rides, AC.

What's the weirdest/quirkiest fact about any member of your band?

Stephen is a robot. Better axe somebody.
