The City Auditor has a duty to investigate when asked by the City Council. The current City Auditor has demonstrated a lack of cooperation with this authority. I will work with the City Council. I will act on investigation requests with a sense of urgency and follow through in a thorough, professional manner. My audits will be a productive use of taxpayer money that will deliver accurate results.

I will conduct professional, thorough and well planned audits. I will carefully select the departments to be audited based on risk for misappropriation and current level of internal controls. Going forward, I will evaluate the effectiveness of processes and internal controls to ensure accounting records are accurate and reliable. Citizens will be able to have confidence in my audits and trust that the City Auditor is doing an effective job
