Educational Supplements
Each school year, the Tulsa World publishes several
educational sections for distribution to Newspaper in Education classrooms.
These special supplements are typically 16-page tabloid-size magazines
covering a variety of topics and including information and activities.
Some of the supplements are written by Tulsa-area educators and professionals,
others are produced by education experts from across the country.
Tulsa World NIE sections are inserted into classroom newspapers over
a one-week period. For example, a school receiving 25 NIE papers Monday,
Wednesday and Friday will also receive 25 copies of the educational
section on those days during the designated distribution week for
that supplement.
The best way to ensure delivery of all Tulsa World educational sections
is to participate in the NIE program each week for the entire school
year. Use the classroom order form to sign up for your classroom newspapers.
Some supplements published in previous school years are still available.
These are available by request to current NIE classrooms and with
classroom orders to new participants. The list below includes these
back issues.
Please note: Educational sections are
developed to be used with newspapers in the classroom. Therefore, they
are not available for purchase but are offered free with classroom newspaper
