How much does it cost?

You may order papers for your classroom at .14 cents per copy. There is a minimum delivery of 5 per delivery day and papers must be delivered at least twice per week (Monday through Friday only).

Teacher workshops are also offered with free newspapers. Any teacher who attends a workshop will receive 100-300 newspapers to be delivered anytime during the current semester.

How do I get funding for my newspapers?

Many school districts will pay for teachers to attend a workshop or for general newspaper delivery. At this time, the Tulsa World Newspaper In Education department does not provide "free" papers. However, teacher workshops cost very little ($5-$15) and any teacher attending a workshop will receive "free" newspapers for the current semester.

How do I order?

You may order newspapers or register for a workshop by calling Sara Amberg at 581-8557 or via email at sara.amberg@tulsaworld.com.

What if my papers aren't delivered?

Newspapers are delivered early in the morning. Please alert early school personnel that you will be expecting delivery and designate a place for papers. Your name will appear in the upper, left-hand corner of the white sheet that is packaged on top of your newspaper bundle.

Certain days of the paper will have multiple sections of the paper. Oftentimes, these "extra bundles" are discarded without teachers knowing that these contain the classified ads, scene sections and Satellite. Usually, serial stories such as "Hank The Cowdog" will appear in these "extra bundles". Please check before throwing them away.

After you have checked with early personnel and you are sure your newspaper were not delivered, please alert Sara Amberg no later than 8:00am by calling him at 581-8557. We cannot guarantee a back-up delivery after 8:00 am.

How do I recycle my papers?
