The 2015 Wizard World pop culture convention tour (coming to Tulsa in October) kicks off this weekend in New Orleans.

And, in case you missed it (Tulsa World columnist Ginnie Graham mentioned this in a top-things-to-look-forward-to-in-2015 story), the first celebrity guest has been announced for Wizard World Tulsa.

Actor Bruce Campbell has enlisted for 2015 Wizard World tour stops, including the one scheduled Oct. 23-25 at Cox Business Center.

Campbell is perhaps best known for his handiwork in the “Evil Dead” trilogy, but he’s trekked all over the pop culture universe on his way to a recent gig in “Burn Notice” on the USA Network.

Maybe you’ve seen him in: “The Adventures of Brisco County Jr.,” “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman,” “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys,” “Xena: Warrior Princess,” Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy and the cult movie (as Elvis Presley) “Bubba Ho-Tep.”

In 2002, Campbell uncorked an autobiography titled “If Chins Could Kill: Confessions of a B Movie Actor.”

Campbell was not among celebrity guests at the inaugural Wizard World Tulsa con in 2014.
