The oldest and largest independent trust company in the state announced that James F. Arens II, CFA has been named president effective immediately. Jim will continue to serve as Trust Company of Oklahoma’s chief investment officer and member of the board of directors. Thomas W. Wilkins remains chairman and CEO.
Jim joined Trust Company of Oklahoma in 1997 after working with KPMG Peat Marwick as a manager in the strategic services consulting group. He earned his bachelor’s in finance and accounting from Southern Methodist University and his MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation, is past president of the CFA Society of Oklahoma and is active in the CFA Institute.
Actively involved in the community, Jim serves on Tulsa’s Gilcrease Museum National Board, as president of the University of Tulsa Student Investment Fund Board, on the investment committees for the University of Texas Student Investment Fund, Holland Hall and Asbury Methodist Church. He is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) in Tulsa.
