Frontier Airlines began operating flights Wednesday from Tulsa to two new destinations: Washington, D.C., (IAD) and San Jose, California (SJC).

The Baltimore/D.C. area is the eighth most popular destination for Tulsa travelers, with 171 people traveling to the region every day from Tulsa.

The Bay Area — San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose — is the 11th most popular destination for Tulsa travelers, with 127 people trekking to the area every day from Tulsa.

Both flights will operate Wednesday and Saturday.

Frontier Airlines, which recently returned to Tulsa International Airport, launched its first flight in March to Denver International Airport. It also has started nonstop service from Tulsa to Orlando (MCO) and San Diego (SAN) three days a week: Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday.
