Allegiant on Tuesday announced nonstop service from Tulsa to the Florida Panhandle via Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) beginning June 6.
This new seasonal route, which offers fares as low as $59 each way, will operate twice weekly. With the addition of this new route, Allegiant will serve five cities from Tulsa International Airport (TUL).
Reservations for Tulsa to Destin-Fort Walton Beach flights can be booked through Aug. 13.
“We’re very excited to announce this brand new service from Tulsa,” Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue, said in a statement. “We’re sure area travelers will take advantage of our friendly, nonstop, ultra-low-cost service to enjoy all that the Emerald Coast has to offer.”
Founded with one aircraft and one flight route in 1999, Las Vegas-based Allegiant has grown to more than 80 aircraft and at least 300 routes across the country with base airfares less than half the cost of the average domestic round-trip ticket.
“We are excited to welcome new nonstop service on Allegiant to Destin,” Alexis Higgins, interim CEO for Tulsa International Airport, said in a statement. “The Emerald Coast is a generational destination for Tulsa-area residents who enjoy the region’s beautiful beaches and friendly hospitality.”
