Bailey Medical Center received the Ardent Cup for its outstanding overall performance and commitment to excellence in 2018.
Several Bailey staff gathered in the hospital lobby Wednesday afternoon to celebrate the award and congratulate each other for the honorable recognition.
The Ardent Cup is presented to a facility that has demonstrated excellence across the hospital, from excelling in people, finance, quality, growth and service.
Bailey Medical Center, one of 30 hospitals within Ardent Health Services, was awarded the Ardent Cup for the fifth time.
“We congratulate … the entire team at Bailey for consistently strong performance in employee engagement and retention, quality indicators, service excellence, growth across key service lines and achieving their financial goals,” said David Vandewater, Ardent Health Services president and CEO.
Ruby Triplett, chief nursing officer, also won Chief Nursing Officer of the Year. Triplett joined Bailey Medical Center in 2012 as director of nursing and transitioned into CNO in 2014.
“Ruby is a champion for patients and employees,” said Keith Mason, Bailey CEO. “Under her leadership, our hospital consistently scores highly in the quality of care and service we provide. She motivates our team to be and deliver their best. I’m proud of (her) contributions at Bailey.”
In November, Bailey was also one of 855 across the United States to be awarded an “A” from The Leapfrog Group’s fall 2018 Hospital Safety Grade for meeting high safety standards.
