OWASSO — Owasso Strong Neighborhood Initiative is beginning a new program to discourage littering.

The initiative will kick off its “Keep Owasso Clean” campaign on Saturday. Volunteers for picking up litter should meet at 9 a.m. at City Hall, 111 N. Main St.

Neighbors, families and groups are welcome to join Keep Owasso Clean, which will be held on the second Saturday of each month.

The campaign was developed through a partnership with the neighborhood initiative and Owasso Girl Scout Troop 661.

Keep Owasso Clean is an ongoing volunteer program that allows everyone to become involved by helping pick up trash and encouraging people not to litter.

For information or to volunteer, contact Owasso Neighborhood Coordinator Jerry Fowler at 918-376-1556 or by email at jfowler@cityofowasso.com.
