The OSSAA has once again decided to honor veterans during the first round of the high school football playoffs.

A veteran will be admitted free with one guest during first-round games as postseason action kicks off in all nine Oklahoma football classifications this weekend.

The veteran must show his or her driver’s license, which has a seal indicating the person is a veteran. If the individual has not renewed his or her license in the last couple of years, a veteran ID card or any proof of identification is acceptable.

"It is our intention to encourage Oklahoma high schools to recognize veterans in conjunction with any school activities in the next couple of weeks." an OSSAA news release said. "This is a great way to recognize those who have served our country and
