It’s almost time for the Cheers and Gears Auto Show.
The event, which helps raise money for uniforms and travel to competitions, will begin with registration from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. June 22 in the Charles Page High School parking lot at 500 N. Adams Road. There’s a $25 fee for each vehicle and all makes, models and years of cars, trucks, rat rods and kit cars can participate.
The event will also feature food trucks, snow cones, concession stands for drinks and candy, a live DJ, T-shirts and hourly raffles.
The first 20 entries will reportedly receive dash plaques and goodie bags and all will receive a ticket for a door prize drawing.
“I remember when I was in school how we wanted to show off our new wheels…and many of us wanted to ‘sound off’ too!,” Charles Page High School Cheer Coach Carrie Schlehuber said in a statement.
The show was reportedly expanded to 20 classes this year, including the “Loud and Proud” award for the car that sounds the best when the engine is revved, the “Show Your Colors” award for the best paint jobs, and the “Cheer Choice” award selected by the Varsity Cheer team. The awards are handmade trophies designed by Charles Page High School students.
Vendor parking spaces (or booth spaces) are available and also sponsor opportunities. For more show information, contact CPHS Varsity Cheer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
