The Sand Springs Church of Christ opened a Disaster Relief Distribution Center May 30.
The distribution center opened from 3-7 p.m. at the church’s activity building at 4301 S. 113th W. Avenue.
The center will have boxed food, baby care items, toiletries, cleaning supplies and more to help those affected by the flood who didn’t have insurance. Those who go to the center to pick up items will be required to show their ID.
Sand Springs Church of Christ Pulpit Minister Elliott Dunn said the distribution center will be open as long as people need it.
Dunn said it’s a partnership with the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Inc.
Since it’s exclusively a distribution center, they won’t be set up to take donations.
