The Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma is hosting a free, mobile pantry distribution of food and water in the Meadow Valley neighborhood June 13 in partnership with Sand Springs Community Services.
The truck will be available from 4 to 6 p.m. at 29th and Maple.
“They’ll set up their box truck with several pallets of nonperishable food, water and infant supplies,” Sand Springs Community Services Executive Director Nathan Woodmansee said. “It will be available to flood-affected people.”
Woodmansee said people in the nearby Town and Country neighborhood are also welcome to come and the food bank intends to have another mobile pantry distribution in the Town and Country neighborhood at another time.
He said people should bring an ID and proof of residence when they go to use the mobile pantry.
Sand Springs Community Services has its food pantry open five days per week from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and from 9 a.m. to noon Friday.
