A Sand Springs man was stopped in an allegedly stolen truck and initially provided false information to police.
An officer noticed a suspicious truck around 3 a.m. May 20 in the 200 block of State Highway 97 in the Walmart parking lot and found it was reported stolen, according to an incident report.
The officer saw Paul Foster, 48, walking toward the vehicle, then away from it, according to a report.
The officer asked if Foster was associated with the truck and Foster denied it and said he’d walked there from a friend’s house, a report states.
Foster said he’d left his ID at home and provided what the officer later found was false information, according to a report.
The officer then detained Foster, searched him and found drug paraphernalia in his wallet, a report states.
Foster was arrested on complaints of possession of a stolen vehicle, false impersonation, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant.
