SWAP anthology

The 2017 Skiatook Writers and Poets Anthology LINDSEY RENUARD/Skiatook Journal

Skiatook Writers and Poets is accepting poetry, fiction and non-fiction, as well as artwork and photography for their new anthology.

The Skiatook Writers and Poets group (SWAP) meets at the Skiatook Library on the third Thursday of each month from 4:45 to 6:00 p.m. The group is free to attend and open to all ages.

The group published their first anthology in 2017.

Submissions are open to all ages and all accepted work will be included in the Skiatook Writers And Poets Anthology 2018 Edition. Work deemed extremely offensive will not be included. Deadline for submissions is August 18, 2018.

"The book will be published in black and white paperback and full color ebook formats," said Jason Doherty, who co-founded SWAP with his wide, Alicia. "Included authors and artists will receive publication at no cost and a free copy of the book."

Work published in the Anthology can be republished elsewhere and the authors and artists retain their own copyright. Previously published work is OK but unpublished work is preferred.

The anthology will be released on September 15, 2018.
