Samantha Lynn, a Rotarian from Broken Arrow Oklahoma, co-chair of the District 6110 RYLA program, and the Mid America Representative for the American Wheelchair Mission, visited with the Skiatook Rotary Club on June 27.

Since 2000, Rotarians have sponsored the delivery of more than 350,000 wheelchairs to people with physical disabilities around the world. Since 2002 the Rotary Clubs of Districts 6110 and 6080 have sponsored more than 10,000 wheelchairs.

The gift of a wheelchair allows children to go to school, adults to go to work and provide for their families, and the elderly to get out of a bed they may have been confined to for years.

“This is another way the citizens of Skiatook, by supporting our club in our fundraising throughout the year, is touching lives around the world,” said a spokesperson for Skiatook Rotary.
