The Tallgrass Music Festival held May 30-June 1 featured several bluegrass bands from Oklahoma and around the country.

Hundreds attended the festival to listen to the best bluegrass music around. Bands included The Moron Brothers, The Baker Family, Springstreet, and Blue Moon Rising.

All of the bands had incredible talent and keep toes tapping and hands clapping. The Moron Brothers was a band not to be missed for their laugh a minute with their down home jokes and humorous songs.

There was also an open stage night this year where anyone who played an instrument could participate and free hot dogs were available to attendees.

The Skiatook Rotary Club helped with parking and there were many booths available for shopping. Food vendors offered funnel cakes, corn dogs, fried pickles, hamburgers, hot dogs, nachos and fried Oreos.

Many camped on the grounds to attend both days of the festival. All of the volunteers and a lot of hard work bring this festival together each year.
