Golden Palace, a fixture at 5125 S. Peoria Ave. for 39 years, has closed. The owners will open a new business in downtown Tulsa this summer, according to a Facebook post.

“The Jow family would like to thank Tulsa and all of the surrounding area supporting us for the last 40 years!” the post said. “We couldn’t have done it without you all. Today is a bittersweet moment as we close the doors.

“Another chapter will begin this summer called the Deco Lounge located at 607 S. Boston Ave. We will bring a few items from here to serve on the menu. We hope to see you there! Thanks again to a great community!”

A spokesman for the store said the BA store has received no word from the corporate office about what might replace Uncle Buck’s

Bass Pro Shops has seven other restaurant concepts, including variations on Uncle Buck’s, that it operates in stores around the country.
