Merritt's Bakery and Dunkin' Donuts have planned specials for National Donut Day on Friday, June 7.

Merritt's is donating 20% of doughnut sales to Tulsa's Salvation Army.

The bakeries are located at 3202 E. 15th St., 9521 S. Delaware Ave. and 4930 W. Kenosha St., Broken Arrow.

Dunkin' Donuts, 1101 N. Aspen Ave., Broken Arrow, will give away one classic doughnut with the purchase of a beverage.

National Donut Day was established in 1938 by the Chicago Salvation Army to honor women who served doughnuts to soldiers during World War I.
