The latest scare in the world of the “Conjuring” horror films and the new British comedy full of Beatles songs — in a world that can’t remember the band — are this week’s new movies in theaters.

‘Annabelle Comes Home’

The next chapter in the “Conjuring” horror universe finds the Warrens (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) determined to keep killer doll Annabelle away from society by bringing her to their home.

Consider this situation: What if you were the only person on Earth who remembered the music of the Beatles? What would you do with that information? This is the new comedy from writer Richard Curtis (“Love Actually”) and director Danny Boyle (“Slumdog Millionaire”).
