Tulsa native Tim Blake Nelson will be the special guest when the Philbrook Museum of Art shows “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” on Friday, July 26, as part of its Films on the Lawn series.
Nelson starred with George Clooney and John Turturro as a trio of escaped convicts whose comic journeys through the South during the Great Depression in search of a mythic treasure parallels events in Homer’s classic “The Odyssey.”
The evening begins at 6 p.m., and participants may bring picnic dinners or take part in the Kitchen 27 restaurant’s regular Friday Burger Night.
The film will begin at approximately 8:45 p.m.
Other films in the series include “Field of Dreams,” June 14; “Almost Famous,” June 28; “Black Panther,” Aug. 23; and “Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,” Sept. 27.
Tickets are $6-$12. To purchase and for more information, visit philbrook.org.
