BROKEN ARROW — Dog owners are invited to bring their pups to the pool for a chance to cool off before the end of summer.

The Pooch Plunge returns to Broken Arrow on Aug. 19 for its second year, according to a news release. This annual event will take place from noon to 4 p.m. at the Family Aquatic Center, 1400 S. Main St.

The cost is $5 per dog and two people per dog. Children younger than 12 will not be permitted. Space is limited to 30 tickets per session.

There are three swim times, depending on the size of the dog:

Noon to 1 p.m.: 20 pounds or less (senior dogs can participate in this session)

1:30-2:30 p.m.: 25-55 pounds

3-4 p.m.: 55 pounds and more

Pre-registration is required, and current vaccination records are required at time of registration. The last day to register is Friday. Forms can be picked up at the Central Park Community Center, 1500 S. Main St. in Broken Arrow. For more information, call 918-259-8437.
