One person was killed and another injured Sunday in a multiple-vehicle wreck in Pawnee County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

Patrick Olin Wantland, 54, of Terlton, Oklahoma, was pronounced dead at 6:45 p.m. on Oklahoma 48, just south of Taylor Road about 5 miles southeast of Terlton.

Troopers said Wantland was at a stoplight inside a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt when it was struck from the rear by a 2016 Toyota Tacoma.

The impact of the collision forced the Cobalt to crash into a 2015 Hyundai Elantra, the OHP reported.

Troopers said the Tacoma driver was not injured in the wreck. The Elantra driver was transported to St. John Medical Center where he was treated for minor injuries.

The OHP report indicated that Wantland was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
