Miss Lauren Elizabeth Wagner and Mr. Justin Cole Kannady were united in marriage on Saturday, March 23, 2019, at six o'clock in the evening on the golf course of the Comanche Trace Country Club in Kerrville, TX. The Reverend Bert Baetz III officiated the marriage ceremony.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception, also on the golf course, where the guests danced to the music of the Royal Dukes Band of San Antonio. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Chi-Cho's Café in Ingram, TX.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wes Wagner of Ingram, formerly of Midland, TX. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Johnna Blanton Curle of Ingram, formerly of Midland, Mrs. Lissa Noel Wagner and the Mr. Cyril Wagner of Midland, and of Mrs. Joyce Rhodes McMakin and the late Dr. Laurence Earl McMakin of Beaumont, TX. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Kannady of Inola, OK formerly of Tulsa. He is the grandson of Mr. Walter Lee Kannady of Broken Arrow, OK, the laste Mrs. Carolyn Venable of Broken Arrow, and Mrs. Carmen Tapp of Tulsa.
The bride was presented in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. Serving as her maid of honor was her cousin, Madalyn McMakin of Beaumont. Serving as her matrons of honor were sisters-in-law of the bride, Alise Wagner of Edmond, OK, and Eliza Wagner of Kerrville; friends of the bride Colby Medran of Kerrville, Arlette Rojano of Oklahoma City, OK, and Taylor Finley of Washington, District of Columbia.
Serving as the best man was childhood friend, Matt Barber of Oklahoma City. The groomsmen were brothers of the bride, Travis Wagner of Edmond, and Russell Wagner of Kerrville; brothers of the groom, Waylon Kannady of Tulsa and Taylor Kannady of Collinsville, OK; and friend, Chance Larson of Tulsa. The flower girl was Willow Rifai of Coweta, OK, a cousin of the groom. The ring bearer was Hudson Fyfe of Kerrville, a friend of the bride. The bride's uncle, Doug McMakin of Beaumont, friend, Tatum Stasney of Houston, and groom's grandmother, Carmen Tapp of Tulsa, were scripture readers.
The bride is a graduate of Trinity High School and received a BA in Business and Entrepreneurship from the University of Oklahoma. She is currently employed with an interior design firm.
The groom is a graduate of East Central High School in Tulsa, and attended Rogers State University where he played varsity baseball before attending the University of Oklahoma and finishing his BA in Business Management at Tulsa Community College. He is currently employed as an Assistant Superintendent at the Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow.
The couple resides in Bixby, OK, after a honeymoon in Sea Island, GA.
