Just ask the legions of fans who line up for Burn Co. BBQ, this place is legit. It may be a relative newcomer to the list, having opened in 2011, but it's earned its place on our list with barbecue that's garnered national acclaim and a bacon macaroni and cheese that has to be eaten to be believed.
In 2015, celebrity chef Alton Brown ate at Burn Co. and called it one of the best barbecue meals he has had in the region. Founder Adam Myers’ pork butt recipe is featured in “The South’s Best Butts” by Matt Moore.
