The Pride of Broken Arrow marching band took top honors in the 2018 the Oklahoma Bandmasters Association championships in Broken Arrow on Saturday.

A total of six area high school marching bands competed Saturday in the 6A event.

In addition to winning the overall competition, Broken Arrow took first place in Outstanding Music Performance, Outstanding Visual Performance and Outstanding General Effect.

It was the band’s 17th straight overall state title and its 26th overall.

Jenks took second in the competition, Bixby was third and Owasso was fourth.

In addition to those schools, bands from Bartlesville, Owasso, Sapulpa, Stillwater and several Oklahoma City-area schools performed.
