Police have arrested a man accused in a fatal stabbing in early May.

Roderick Anderson, 36, was jailed on a complaint of first-degree murder in the May 4 death of Elwood Gant at an east Tulsa apartment complex.

Anderson reportedly left the state the morning after Gant’s death and was considered a suspect at the time. DNA testing and witness testimony linked Anderson to the killing, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Gant was found dead in his home at Stonecrest Apartments near 41st Street and 129th East Avenue about 5 p.m. May 4. He reportedly had been in a fight earlier in the day, but that person was questioned and later released without charges.

Anderson denied involvement in the stabbing, investigators said in the affidavit.
