A preliminary hearing has been postponed for a woman charged with first-degree murder after an incident at a restaurant in March in which she’s accused of fatally shooting a man who reportedly spit on her.

Deionna Young was charged April 2 and remains in the Tulsa County jail on $1 million bond.

Prosecutors allege Young, a manager at an east Tulsa Arby’s, shot and killed Desean Tallent after he reportedly spit on her and assaulted her at the restaurant. Young followed Tallent after he returned to the store and fired one shot into Tallent’s vehicle, according to a news release.

Tallent crashed his vehicle at a Walmart Neighborhood Market near 31st Street and Garnett Road. He later died at a hospital.

The hearing was rescheduled for July 1, according to the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office.
