Tulsa police have identified the victim of a fatal stabbing at an east Tulsa apartment over the weekend.
Elwood Gant, 36, was the victim of a homicide at Stonecrest Apartments, 4020 S. 130th East Ave., police said Monday in a news release.
Police were called to the apartments Saturday after a neighbor found the man’s body. Police have interviewed and released a person of interest related to the city's 23rd homicide.

Homicide Sgt. Brandon Watkins said Sunday detectives spoke with a man who was involved in a fight with the victim, and he was released pending further investigation.
The victim has not yet been identified pending family notification.
A man was found stabbed to death in an east Tulsa apartment on Saturday.
Tulsa police responded to Stonecrest Apartments, 4020 S. 130th East Ave., about 5 p.m. after a neighbor found the man’s body when the neighbor went to check on him. Police said the apartment door had been open all day.
Homicide Sgt. Brandon Watkins said neighbors overheard arguing the day before and more noise late at night.
Late Saturday, detectives were interviewing a person of interest who also lives in the complex, Watkins said.
The man’s death is the 23rd homicide Tulsa police have investigated this year.
